About Department of Oral Medicine and Radiology

Department of Oral Medicine and Radiology is a centre of diagnosis of various dental diseases. It is also a centre for screening of various precancerous lesions and conditions. This department is the heart of the Karnavati School of Dentistry where patients are not only diagnosed for their chief complaint but also thoroughly examined and motivated for various dental treatments required.

We also have a Tobacco cessation centre attached and working under this department. At this centre, patients are counselled against and motivated to discontinue various adverse habits like bidi and cigarette smoking, tobacco / gutkha / panmasala chewing and betel nut chewing, snuff (rubbing & inhalation).

  6. Transcutaneous electric nerve stimulation.
  7. Conventional Radiology including IOPA, Bitewing, occlusal views
  8. Digital Imaging : Radiovisiography (RVG)
  9. Extra oral Radiographs:Panoramic radiography, Sialography, PA, AP, LATERAL SKULL views.
  10. Advanced Imaging includes: Cone Beam Computed Tomography (CBCT)
